IPAF MEWP Training Courses
Pekkaniska offers a comprehensive range of classroom and online training courses covering Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), including boom lifts and scissor lifts (IPAF categories 1b, 3a, and 3b). The courses are intended for operators, supervisors and management, installers, and trainers, among others.
IPAF Training
IPAF courses comply with the international ISO 18878:2004 standard for MEWP operator training. The PAL card (Powered Access Licence) is a globally recognized proof of high-quality MEWP training and is a mandatory requirement on many international data center construction sites.

Pekkaniska’s IPAF-certified categories:
- 1a = static vertical platforms (with outriggers)
- 1b = static boom lifts (with outriggers)
- 3a = mobile scissor lifts
- 3b = mobile boom lifts
- PAV = push-around vertical platforms
Implementation
- The IPAF training will be held at a Pekkaniska location
- E-learning + exam day
- Pekkaniska recommends completing the e-learning independently, allowing us to train a larger number of your employees per day
- Only a mobile device is required to complete the e-learning
- Minimum of 5 participants per IPAF training
- If independent completion of the e-learning module is not possible, the theoretical training can be conducted by Pekkaniska
Pricing
- Price for one category starts from €295 per person + VAT
- Additional categories: +25% per category
- Groups over 10 people: request a quote
- Optional physical PAL card: €50 each + VAT
- Contractors: if you require MEWPs on-site and your employees need IPAF training, request a package offer where training may cost as little as €100 per person + VAT
