Quality system
The company's quality thinking began to be emphasized at the beginning of the 1990s. The principle in drawing up the system's guidelines was that no radical changes were made in the activity, but improved modes of operation were developed.
A long period of work was done on the quality project and in autumn 1997 the Finnish Standards Association SFS granted to Pekkaniska Oy the ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate for sales, lifting and rental services and for the maintenance function. We are proud of the certificate granted and the entire staff is committed to the continuing quality system maintenance and development it requires.
Environment
In Finland, Pekkaniska's Toyota hybrid cars can be seen with stickers “Puhdasta nostamista” (Eng. pure, clean lifting). These cars are one part of our environment programme, which aims to obtain an environment certificate. Green values are essential for Pekkaniska's operations and we are constantly developing new ways of paying attention to environment.
Pekkaniska has long been involved in building renewable forms of energy, e.g. wind power. Pekkaniska's red and white machines are widely seen in several wind power sites in Northern Europe. Our cranes are without exception relatively new, which gives us the opportunity to have an effect on emissions.
