Pekkaniska lifted an important statue in Moscow. This lift has been characterized to be the most important event in Russia on 2009. The 21 meter statue weighted over 185 tons and it was lifted to 34.5 meter pedestal. Lifting of this large statue required heavy equipment to meet the needs of this demanding lift.

Pekkaniska shipped 750 ton Liebherr LR1750 crane from Finland especially for this job. Crane was shipped from Rauma harbor in western Finland to Saint Petersburg. From St. Petersburg the crane continued towards Moscow in a convoy of tens of trucks.

Careful planning of this lift was started several months ago.  The crane was equipped with 63 meters of main boom and 23 meters of heavy duty jib. To get the maximum lifting power the crane was configured with over 600 tons of counterweights including super lift trailer.
